(Waupun) The Mayville woman who was found in the basement of a Waupun home last month with severe head injuries has died. Waupun Police Chief Scott Louden says 75-year-old Carol Foreman died at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah last Wednesday. Her grandson Gregory Spittel lived with Foreman and is charged with felony Battery to Law Enforcement and misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct. According to the criminal complaint, Spittel was drunk and screaming when officers arrived at the home for a medical call on August 24th. The 30-year-old was arrested after allegedly confronting and threatening police. He is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $21,000 cash bond.
