11/4/17 – The Mayville Police Department will be holding a sight-in clinic for local deer hunters over the next two weekends. With the deer gun season fast approaching, the department opens the range to the public providing hunters with a safe environment to sight in their weapons. Those interested in attending must wear eye and ear protection, those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and hunters are required to carry their firearms unloaded and secured when entering the range. Targets will be provided by the police firearms instructors. The clinic will take place Saturday (November 4) and again next Saturday (November 11) from 10am until noon. It will be held behind the Water Treatment Plant on North Walnut Street. For more information contact the Mayville Police Department at 920-387-7903.
