SANDWICHES

Replace good old white bread with tortillas, croissants, bagels, biscuits, English muffins or slices of raisin or nut bread

Try different fillings:    blend peanut butter with apple butter or grated carrots

Combine cottage cheese with pineapple bits

Add apple and almonds to chicken salad

INSTEAD OF SANDWICHES:

Send leftovers that you can eat with your hands (cold pizza, quiche)

Try salads with fun fixings: cucumber, green pepper chunks, ripe olives, peanuts, croutons or orange sections

Prepare an assortment of crackers with cheese, sausage and deli meats cut into cracker-size pieces. Or add a small container of spreadable cheese.

TUCK IN EXTRAS:

Fresh veggies are great with a side of ranch dressing or dill dip

Fresh fruit pairs well with a container of fruit yogurt

Pick up handy portion sized containers of applesauce, fruit cocktail, gelatin, yogurt or pudding

Fill resealable snack bags with raisins, dried apricots, banana chips, popcorn, peanuts, pretzels, or granola
