Marshfield Medical Center Beaver Dam Imposes Visitor Restrictions

(Beaver Dam) Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam has established temporary visitor restrictions effective immediately. The measures are intended to protect patients due to confirmed cases of coronavirus in surrounding communities.

As part of the restrictions, all visitors must be at least 18-years-old and should be free of illness or symptoms. Adult patients are only allowed one visitor. Pediatric patients can have two healthy adults who are able to provide support during a continuous 24-hour period. Patients who are at the end of life may have multiple visitors. The patients and families will be supported on a case-by-case basis with the goal of creating an emotional support network while keeping patients and visitors safe.

Hillside Manor, Eagle’s Wings and Remembrance Home have already enacted visitor limitations according to CMS guidelines. Limiting visitation for the facilities means that individuals will not be allowed to enter except for certain situations, including end-of-life circumstances and when a visitor is critical to a resident’s well-being.

Also, all non-essential vendors are restricted from entering any MMC-BD facility until further notice.
