Marshall Grad Tyler Chadwick Drafted By Reds

2020 Marshall High School graduate Tyler Chadwick was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 19th round (573rd overall) in the 2022 Major League Baseball First Year Players Draft on Tuesday.  Chadwick pitched the 2021 season at the University of West Virginia and in 2022 at Iowa Western

During his time at Marshall, Chadwick was a two-time all-conference player and 2020 Rawlings-Perfect Game Senior Preseason All-America 2nd Team.  Coming out of high school he was ranked the #2 right-handed pitcher and #3 overall prospect in Wisconsin by Perfect Game.

This past season at Iowa Western he appeared in 20 games, with one start.  He had a 5-0 record and recorded one save in 28 innings pitched.  He gave up 17 hits, 12 runs (10 earned), struck out 32, walked 13 and had 3.21 ERA.
