Markesan Football Returns Plenty Of Talent

The Markesan High School football team returns a lot of experience on both sides of the ball as they get ready for the 2021 season.    John Dunlavy’s squad returns nine starters on both side of the ball that went 2-3 in Eastern Suburban Conference play in the truncated 2020 fall season.

“We’re off to a good start.  From a numbers standpoint we have a lot of juniors and seniors out.  We are in the upper 20s when you combine those two classes from a numbers standpoint.  We have  a lot of experience coming back form last year’s team.  We are light year’s ahead of where were last from experience and knowledge base.  We try and get the kids to play a little faster every day.”

Markesan will head to Ripon for a scrimmage on August 13th, then the Hornets kickoff their 2021 season on Friday, August 20th at Manawa.
