(Beaver Dam) State Representative Mark Born was recently honored by the Wisconsin Counties Association for his work on behalf of county government during the 2019-2020 Legislative Session. The Beaver Dam Republican received the “WCA Outstanding Legislator Award” which is handed out biennially to a select group of legislators who represented county interests in both the legislature and in their districts. WCA Executive Director Mark O’Connell says Born’s leadership and commitment to county issues this past session has been extraordinary. He says Born understands the important relationship between counties and the state, and always is watchful for the taxpayers of Wisconsin. In addition, Born’s staff including Nicole Borgerding and James Fenley both received “WCA Outstanding Legislative Staff Award” for their efforts on behalf of the Wisconsin Counties Association. O’Connell says staff is imperative to the legislative process and they recognize these dedicated individuals with their awards.
