Mark Born Recognized By The Wisconsin Economic Development Association

(Beaver Dam) A state representative from Beaver Dam was honored by the Wisconsin Economic Development Association. Mark Born received the organization’s 2022 Champion of Economic Development award for his work on legislative initiatives to drive economic growth in Wisconsin.

The award is presented at the end of each legislative session to state lawmakers who demonstrate support for important economic development policies. The organization says Born was highlighted for his leadership during the state budget process on key economic development initiatives, ranging from talent attraction funding and rural broadband expansion.

Wisconsin Economic Development Association Vice President of Legislative Affairs Michael Welsh says Born understands the importance of forward-thinking policies that provide communities and business the tools to grow.

The award presentation, which was attended by local economic development professionals and community officials, took place at a downtown Beaver Dam business.
