Marcus “Mark” Mullen

Marcus “Mark” I Mullen, 78, went to be with his Lord, Friday, January 31, 2020 while with family in Clinton, Missouri.

Mark was born February 19, 1941 in Chillhowee, MO, to Max and Ellen Mullen. Mark lived his childhood in Chillhowee and graduated high school there in 1958. He was a construction worker until moving on to work the railroad, working his way up to engineer on Wisconsin and Southern Railroad. Mark met and married Judith (Bromm) Krueger and continued to reside in Beaver Dam, WI.

Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time on his Ham Radio communicating with friends and individuals from around the Nation (and sometimes world). To these friends he was known as Mark W9MIM. Mark was an active member of the RRRC (Rock River Radio Club) for decades, participating in as many events as he could. He served on club board, volunteered for brat fries, Field Day and many other events. Marc also served as a long time net control on the Saturday 80 meter net and could be heard most mornings on both 160 and 80 meters, even while in Missouri.

He is survived by a brother, Terry Mullen; 5 sons, Chris Mullen (Della), Mike Mullen (Shelly), Tim Mullen, Jeff Mullen (Pam), Mark Mullen, and two daughters Tamara Herdman (Ken) and Lisa Wunrow (Gary)

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, sister, grandson and wife, Judith.

A memorial service will be held at Praise Assembly of God, 119 W Maple Ave, Beaver Dam on February 29th at 11:00 with luncheon to follow.
