Maple

Maple is an 8 year old 50lb, Staffordshire Terrier mix.
She was an owner surrender in Texas. She was adopted from the Houston SPCA 5 years ago. Her family loved her dearly but were no longer able to keep her once they had a baby. Maple had a hard time understanding that the new baby was a person and not a squirrel. She does best with children that are 10 years of age or older.
Maple was then adopted through DCHS in 2019. She was living her best life being a potato until her and the other resident dog got into a disagreement. She lived with this other dog happily before this and felt terrible for hurting him.
Maple is dog selective as she likes to lead the pack. She got along just fine with 4 other large dogs in her foster home.  A proper introduction will need to be done at the shelter with any other dogs in the household. Maple does not do well with cats or small dogs.
Maple loves to give kisses and has the cutest wiggly butt. This girl is also very thicc and fun to snuggle. She also snorts when she very excited. She does well on leash, is fully house trained, and crate trained.
You can visit Maple at the Dodge County Humane Society any Tuesday or Thursday from 12-7, as well as Saturdays from 12-4.
