Manufacturing Business Alliance To Recognize Local Industry

(Juneau) The deadline is this Friday to sign up for an upcoming event that recognizes excellence in local industry. The Manufacturing Business Alliance of the Dodge County Region will be hosting their annual awards breakfast later this month. Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce President Phil Fritsche announced the winners during a recent appearance on WBEV’s Community Comment. Mayville Engineering Company will receive the Manufacturing Partnership Award. Waupun technical education teacher Ryan Sector will be honored as the Manufacturing In Education Award recipient. The Career In Manufacturing Award will go to Apache Stainless welder Nicole Brown. Finally, student Trevor Aldridge –  who apprenticed at EK Machine in Fall River – will receive the Youth in Manufacturing Award. The keynote speaker is Kurt Bauer, President and CEO of Wisconsin Manufacturing and Commerce. Fritsche says Bauer will discuss the importance of manufacturing in the Wisconsin economy, statewide manufacturing initiatives and how the Foxconn development will impact Dodge County. The Manufacturing Awards Breakfast will be held Thursday, February 22 from 7:30am to 9am at the Juneau Community Center. The cost is $17 dollars through the Beaver Dam Chamber.
