Man From United Kingdom Charged With Child Sexual Exploitation In Dodge County

(Beaver Dam) Cash bond was set at $100-thousand-dollars Tuesday for a man from United Kingdom of Great Britain accused of online sextortion of a minor from Beaver Dam. Simon Riley is facing four felony counts of Child Sexual Exploitation.

Beaver Dam police met with the victim, who was a student at the Beaver Dam Middle School, in 2015. According to the complaint, she started communicating with Riley – who was using a fake name – on the social media platform Kik. Riley reportedly coerced the victim into sending him child exploitation imagery.

The complaint says that Riley also asked her to write “pedos gift box” on a piece of paper then take a picture and send it to him. In September of 2015, the National Crime Agency conducted a search warrant at Riley’s home in Swansea, Wales and allegedly found approximately 1,800 files of suspected child pornography.

Riley is currently incarcerated at a prison in Marion, Illinois. If convicted on the charges in Dodge County, Riley faces up to 160 years in prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 9th.
