(Beaver Dam) One man is in custody after a handgun was pointed at a person in a Beaver Dam business Monday morning. Officers responded to the unnamed business on the 700 block of Park Avenue around 8:30am. It was determined that a former employee engaged a current employee in a verbal confrontation and then reached into his wristband producing the firearm. He then loaded the weapon, pointed it at his former co-worker and threatened them with the gun. The victims described the suspect and his vehicle to authorities, and he was located minutes later at a nearby residence and taken into custody. A search of his vehicle reportedly uncovered the firearm displayed during the confrontation. Police Chief John Kreuziger says there is no threat to the public. The suspect was transported to the Dodge County Detention Facility on numerous weapons charges along with other criminal charges.
