Madison Couple Arrested In Columbia County On Drug And Firearm Charges

(Caledonia) Two people from Madison were arrested Sunday by Columbia County authorities on various drug and firearm charges. Around 2am, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speed violation near the intersection of Highway 33 and I90/94 in the Township of Caledonia. Sheriff Roger Brandner says upon contact with the occupants, deputies were able to detect the odor and visibly see marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver, who was identified as 27-year-old Donyae Butler, was told he was being detained for reportedly possessing ecstasy. Brandner says Butler then began to resist and 29-year-old Cierra Finkley, who was a passenger in the vehicle, exited and attempted to interfere. He says she was ultimately arrested and was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm. At the Columbia County jail, Butler was allegedly found with a significant amount of cocaine which he had hide in his body. Butler is facing charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, OWI, Resisting, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, among others. Finkley is facing charges of Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Resisting and Possession of Marijuana.
