Lynn F. Columbia, 69, of Horicon passed away on January 23, 2019 at his home.
Lynn was born on April 28, 1949 the son of Frederick and Yvonne (Burmeister) Columbia in Milwaukee, WI. He and his brother, Russell spent their youth growing up in Waupun, WI.
Lynn proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, receiving a commendation medal. He received a degree in Radio, TV, & Film from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh.
In 1973, he married Sigrun Diehl, whom he had met in Germany during the Vietnam War. They raised their family (Wesley and Jennifer) in Waupun, WI.
Lynn had been employed as a security officer for the Wisconsin prison system for many years, and later served as a security guard.
In his younger days, Lynn enjoyed fishing on Lake Poygan where his family had a cottage. He also enjoyed hunting, golfing, and spending quality time with his family and friends. Towards the latter part of his life, he really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Lynn is survived by his ex-wife Sigrun Columbia – Navis of Fond Du Lac, WI, brother Russell (Anne) Columbia of Tarpon Spring, FL, son, Wesley (Becky) Columbia of Brown Deer and his daughter, Jennifer (Rick) Rokusek of Oak Creek; his grandchildren: Addison, Everett, Julia and Naomi; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
