(Lowell) A Beaver Dam man has been charged with making inappropriate contact with a minor. Ryan Neu is facing felony counts of Child Enticement and Exposing Genitals to a Child as well as two misdemeanor charges of Sexual Intercourse with a Child.
In January, Dodge County sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate an alleged sexual assault at a residence in Lowell. According to the complaint, the 16-year-old victim slept over at Neu’s home after hanging out during the day. She reportedly said that Neu assaulted her overnight and again in the morning.
Neu allegedly told the victim that “no one can know about this” and that they “could not talk about what happened over texting or social media.” When questioned, the 22-year-old reportedly told authorities that it was “possible” he touched the victim inappropriately but that nothing more happened.
Neu’s DNA was allegedly detected after the victim’s SANE exam was sent to the state crime lab for analysis.
If convicted, Neu faces up to 30 years behind bars. An initial appearance is scheduled for October 16th.
