Lorraine A. Schoenfeld

Lorraine A. Schoenfeld, age 96, of Beaver Dam, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, February 24, 2018.

 

Visitation for Lorraine will be at St. Katharine Drexel Church in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Michael Erwin as celebrant.  Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

 

Lorraine was born on January 15, 1922 to the late Albert and Agnes (Gerner) Meyer.  On March 2, 1946, she was united in marriage with John Schoenfeld in Kingston, Wisconsin.  Together they farmed before co-owning Club 33 and later Sunset Hills Country Club in Beaver Dam, both where Lorraine was in charge of the kitchen.  She enjoyed golf, bowling, trap-shooting, crocheting, spending time with her family, and mowing her lawn.  In retirement, Lorraine delivered Meals-on-Wheels and volunteered at the Hillside Gift Shop.  Lorraine was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and had been active in the Women’s group at St. Peter’s Church.

 

Survivors include her children, Ruth Voelker of Beaver Dam, Gary (Sandra) Schoenfeld of Beaver Dam, and Randy (Lisa) Schoenfeld of Prescott, AZ; five grandchildren, Kristine Voelker of Beaver Dam, Daniel Voelker of Beaver Dam, Amber Schoenfeld of West Bend, John (Mary) Schoenfeld of Bemidji, MN, and Jonathon Swyer; three step grandchildren, Brandon (Katrina) Judd) of MI, Corey Judd of AZ, and Brett Judd of Madison; her sister, Rosemary (James) Hamer of Montello; brother-in-law, George Bromberek of Beaver Dam; as well as, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.  Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, John “Jack” Schoenfeld; son-in-law, Karl Voelker; and brothers and sisters, Helen Murray, Mildred Steinhorst, Ruth Bromberek, James Meyer, and Robert Meyer.
