(Columbus) A longtime employee of Farmers and Merchants Union Bank in Columbus recently retired. After 60 years with the bank, Kathy Harle retired. Harle spent her career performing bookkeeping and secretarial duties. Most recently, she held the title of assistant vice president of data processing and cashier, served as corporate secretary to the bank board, and performed the bank’s human resources duties. Harley says when she first started, there were about a dozen employees and two offices, in downtown Columbus and Friesland. Now the bank has roughly 55 employees and six offices in downtown Columbus, the west side Columbus branch, Fall River, Friesland, Juneau, and Rio.
