(Beaver Dam) The public is invited to attend a presentation tomorrow Tuesday night that will provide an in-depth look at the history of Beaver Dam schools. Local historian Roger Noll will discuss the evolution from the cityโs first one room school house to the current Beaver Dam Unified School District. Noll says this has been one of the hardest presentations he has had to prepare due to varying disagreements such as how many schools there were and there exact locations. Other topics that will be discussed include the private schools of Wayland and Hillcrest School for girls, the four parochial grade schools – Saint Peteโs, Saint Mikeโs, Saint Patโs and Saint Stephenโs – as well as Beaver Damโs vocational schools. During last weekโs appearance on WBEVโs Community, Noll said following the presentation a film will be shown of Beaver Dam schools from 1938 as well as footage from various Homecoming parades during the 1960โs. The program will begin at 6pm tomorrow in the basement of the Beaver Dam library.
