Here’s a look at Thursday night’s local action in the Badgerland Summer League
Beaver Dam 7 Watertown 3
The Beaver Dam Badgerland Summer League baseball team picked up a 7-3 win over Watertown on Thursday night at the BDHS Diamond. Nick Curro pitched five solid innings for BD to earn the win. The crafty righty struck out five and gave up just 3 hits and 2 unearned runs. Wes Biel, Adam Chase and Griff Wicklund all drove in a pair of runs in the win. Nate Walter and Evan Sellnow drove in the Watertown runs. Watertown (1-10) will be back in action on Monday night when they host Waupun at 6:30pm. Beaver Dam (5-2) will host Mayville on Monday night. Hartford 13 Randolph 9
Randolph dropped a 13-9 decision at home to Hartford on Thursday night. Tyler Stiemsma went 2×3 with a double while Caleb Kooiker was 1×1 at the plate. Randolph will host Waupun on Tuesday night at 6pm.
Brownsville 7 Mayville 6 – 8 innings
Beaver Dam JV 8 Horicon 0
Logan Thomas went 3×4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored at the Beaver Dam JV squad thumped Horicon 10-2. Kaiden Jimenez also drove in a pair for BD. The BD JVs (6-1) will host Germantown in a Saturday doubleheader. The first pitch of game 1 is set for 11am.
