Here’s a look at Monday’s local action in the Badgerland Summer High School Baseball League
Fond du Lac 6 Waupun 5 – 9 innings
Waupun traveled to Fond du Lac and suffered a hard luck 6-5 loss in 9 innings on Monday night. After falling behind 5-1 after two innings, Waupun put up a pair of runs in the 3rd and 5th to even the game up at five. It stayed that way until the bottom of the 9th when Fondy plated an unearned run. Jarrett Buchholz had a huge day at the plate going 3×5 with a pair of home runs and double. He drove in all five Waupun runs. The loss drops Waupun to 5-3 on the season. The will host St. Mary’s Springs on Tuesday night at 6:30pm.
Jefferson 12 Watertown 6
Watertown fell behind 8-0 through three and a half innings, but rallied for five runs in the bottom of the 5th to make it close. Brady Martin led Watertown’s offense by going 2×3 with 2 RBI. Ayden Schauer 2×4, 2B, RBI, Taylor Walter 2×4. Watertown drops to 0-5 on the season. They will travel to Oconomowoc on Tuesday night with a 6pm 1st pitch.
Hartford 9 Mayville 2
-Mayville’s Ty Hockers pitched 3 innings and struck out 3, while Joseph Adamson logged 3 innings on the hill and struck out a pair. Mayville heads to Rosendale on Thursday night.
Laconia 5 Randolph 2
