3/18/17 – Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce President Phil Fritsche is encouraging those who live or work in the city to sign-up for a community program that prepares the next generation of community leaders. Leadership Beaver Dam is a training program that Fritsche says goes beyond chamber membership and is open to the public who want to be active members in their community. Leadership Beaver Dam is molded after other leadership programs from the state but their focus is on the local community. The classes meet from September through May, following the public school year, and are a full day once month. Fritsche says Leadership Beaver Dam is great for networking with all of the top leaders in education, business, government, and non-profits from the area. Those interested in participating in the 2017-18 class can begin registering. There is a $550 entry fee, which includes lunches, but if a completed application is in by April 1st there is a $50 discount. Fritsche notes that many companies sponsor an employee.
