(Waupun) Multiple law enforcement agencies recently teamed up to conduct a drug interdiction in the Waupun-area. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Waupun Police Department and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office utilized 15 officers and four K9 units in last Friday’s effort. A total of 76 traffic stops, 84 warnings, 13 K9 deployments and 18 citations were issued during the interdiction. Three individuals were arrested for Operating with a Restricted Controlled Substance and one for felony Possession of THC. Other charges stemming from the operation include Operating While Intoxicated, Bail Jumping, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Operating After Revocation. During the interdiction, deputies also deployed their Dodge County Seatbelt Grant Task Force. From 3pm to 7pm, there were 29 traffic stops made and 16 seatbelt citations were issued. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says these cooperative enforcement actions are just one way area agencies work to keep the county a safe place to live, work and visit.
