Last Week’s Winter Storm Impacts Blood Donations

(Wisconsin) Last week’s snow and bitter cold forced the Red Cross in Wisconsin to cancel several big blood drives, and now they need your help. Communications Director Justin Kern says about about 900 units of blood went uncollected

“People in the hospital now have the blood they need but in the days ahead that could put a pinch on the blood supply if we don’t have some folks turnouts to kind of fill in those donations that we had to cancel,” says Kern.
