Just Over Thirty-Four-Hundred Positive COVID Cases Recorded Friday

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 3,474 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update. There are 29,688 active cases in the state, an increase of 808 from Thursday. Active cases make up 5.9-percent of the 502-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 467-thousand recoveries. State health officials recorded 40 deaths bringing that total 5,119.

Deaths account for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the nearly two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 359-thousand people were from the United States.

Dodge County has experienced 126 deaths and 10,637 cases, a one-day increase of 39 positive tests. The county had 113 negative tests returned for a running total of 37,207. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 305 people, an increase of 39 from Thursday.

Washington County has reported 102 deaths along with 12,262 cases to date; 956 are active cases.

Fond du Lac County has seen 71 deaths, one more than on Thursday, with 10,822 positive tests on record; 612 are active cases.

The state says Jefferson County recorded one death Friday for a total of 60 and 6,968 cases to date; with 497 active cases.

Columbia County has reported 33 deaths and 4,410 positive tests; there are 208 active cases.

Green Lake County had three additional deaths bringing their total to 13 with 1,420 cases on record, 49 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
