5/4/17 – A Juneau man accused of receiving sexually explicit images of a minor had his arraignment hearing yesterday. Brandon Loomis entered a plea of not guilty to two felony counts of Possessing Child Pornography. According to the criminal complaint, Loomis and a 15-year-old Cumberland girl would share explicit images of themselves, primarily through Skype. Now 19-years-old, Loomis was 17-or-18 at the time of the reported incident. In addition to the pictures, Loomis stated that over a three-to-four-month period, he would engage in explicit chats online. If convicted on both counts, Loomis is facing up to 50 years in prison.
