Juneau Man Makes Initial Appearance On Recklessly Endangering Safety Charge

(Iron Ridge) A Juneau man facing 10 years in prison for endangering the safety of his girlfriend made his initial appearance in court Monday. Anthony Gasper has been charged with Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety as well as two misdemeanor charges of Criminal Damage to Property and Disorderly Conduct. Iron Ridge police were called to Fireman’s Park in September following reports of a two-vehicle crash. Witnesses reported seeing one car smash into another multiple times before it began pushing it forward for roughly 300 feet, causing the victim’s vehicle to swerve. The vehicles involved were later located at a nearby residence. Gasper denied knowing anything about the crash when questioned, but reportedly said the victim took $200 worth of his pills. The 31-year-old allegedly said that he did not care about the victim’s wellbeing and hoped she got hit by a car. A signature bond was set at $1,000 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 16th.
