Picnic Sausage Bread
1 lb. Italian sausage roll (such as Jimmy Dean®)
1 (13.8 oz.) pkg. refrigerated pizza dough
2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1 Tbsp. olive oil, or as needed
Preheat oven to 350°. Cook and stir sausage in skillet over MEDIUM heat until crumbly, evenly browned and no longer pink, 8-10 minutes. Drain and discard any excess grease. Spread pizza dough evenly onto 9×13” baking sheet; sprinkle with sausage and mozzarella cheese. Roll dough around sausage and mozzarella, using method similar to rolling a cinnamon roll. Crimp roll closed; place seam side down on baking sheet. Brush roll with olive oil. Bake 15-20 minutes, until golden brown or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serves 8.
