German Chocolate Cake Cookies

1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake mix

2 eggs, beaten

2/3 c. shortening

1 (16 oz.) can prepared coconut pecan frosting

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, stir together cake mix, eggs and shortening until well blended. Roll dough into walnut sized balls. Place cookies 2” apart onto cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely. Match up evenly sized cookies and sandwich them with coconut pecan frosting. Makes 24 cookies.
