Judith Ann (Vest-Stephenson) Ryckman died Wednesday Oct 20th, 2021. She was born Oct 2, 1942 in Kansas City, Ks. To Stanton P. Vest and Millie Ella Potter-Vest. She was adopted at birth by Bryan and Flora Ellen Stephenson and was their only child. She remained close to her birth parents all of her life. She married Dave Ryckman on Oct 24, 1959 where they lived a great deal of their life with their families in Washington State and eventually moved to Wisconsin. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary before her Husband preceded her in death Sept 11, 2018.
Judy was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who’s heart was full of love for her family. A favorite quote of hers sums her selfless soul. “When I see the sorrows of the world leaning heavy on your shoulders, I wish they were on mine instead, because I care about you.”
She worked various jobs throughout her life including being a top Home Interiors Consultant. She loved decorating and crafts and making things extra special with her talented touch. She made every Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding or event extra special, even Snowmen with her grandchildren were personalized and detailed to top notch. Gifts were signed or embellished “Handmade with Love”. She had a passion for scrapbooking and following her family genealogy. She had a great sense of humor and wonderful laugh. Every visit ended with I love you too, and Don’t you forget it!
Judy is survived by her children. David B. Ryckman, Son of WA and his two children David and Chance Ryckman; Mark Ryckman, Son (Darcy)of Beaver Dam; Cathy Schultz, Daughter (Marc) and her two children Zachary and Abigail Schoenberger of Beaver Dam. Preceded in death by her Husband Dave Ryckman, Granddaughter Katie Ryckman.
A Celebration of life service will be held Friday at 4pm at The Seventh Day Adventist Church 503 Gould St, Beaver Dam WI. Inurnment will be at a later date.
