Jerry’s Automotive Installs “Spirit Pumps,” Funds To Go To Beaver Dam School District

(Beaver Dam) A locally-owned gas station will be donating funds from two of their pumps to the Beaver Dam School District. Jerry’s Automotive, located on 700 North Spring Street, announced this week that they recently installed “Spirit Pumps.” Beginning September 1st, for every gallon purchased at these special pumps the station will donate two-cents to the district. Manager Chrystal Beich says giving back to the community is an important aspect of their business. She says education is crucial and aiding the school district is not only a worthy cause but it is also the most efficient way to give back to the community because so many people either go or know someone who goes to the school.

Beich says the district has a school of the month program so their donations will change based on which facility is featured. However, the district does not have a featured school for September. Beich says that month’s donation will go to the Beaver Dam Middle School which was struck by a speeding car last week that caused significant damage.

The fundraiser is part of BP’s “Fueling Communities” program which helps local stations raise funds for their area. Beich says Jerry’s Automotive plans on keeping the “Spirit Pumps” up year-round with the money raised during the summer months potentially going to a scholarship or back-to-school supplies. She says residents can like and follow their Facebook page to keep up to date on which school will be featured for a particular month.
