(Dodge County) Vehicles sales in the region in the first month of the year were a mixed bag. According to the Waterloo-based industry-tracking firm Reg-Trak, there were 324 vehicle sales in Dodge County last month, up nearly 12-percent from the 290 sold in January of 2018. Car sales in Dodge County were up 18-percent while truck sales were up 11-percent. In Columbia County, vehicle sales were down 14-percent with 216 sold, 36 less than the same timeframe last year. Truck sales were up 12-percent, but car sales dropped by nearly 29-percent. In Jefferson County, 219 cars rolled off dealer lots last month, nine-and-a-half-percent (9.5%) less than the 242 sold the previous January. Car sales were down 11-percent while car sales dropped two-percent. The nine-county, south-central Wisconsin region as a whole experienced a two-and-a-half-percent (2.5%) decline with 3723 vehicles sales. Truck sales in the region were up by less than one percent while car sales were down over 13-percent.
