1/23/11 – Authorities say the oil and water run-off from inside this weekend’s fire at Sensient Flavors in Juneau was handled by the plants internal water treatment system. That’s according to Juneau Fire Chief Curt Ninmann who says run-off from fire fighting operations outside the building was controlled by the Dodge County HAZMAT team. A private contractor was contacted to dispose of the waste run-off. The blaze at 330 South Mill Street was reported at 7:45pm Saturday, originating in an oil heater dryer. Three departments responded, brining the fire under control within 35 minutes and was contained to a mechanical room.
