10/13/17 – The inmate who escaped from the Dodge County Jail early Friday morning has been apprehended. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says Dylan Joseph Farber was taken into custody today by the Wauwatosa Police Department. The 30-year-old Fox Lake man was being held on felony charges related to a high-speed chase in July that started in Dodge County and ended in Waukesha County. During that incident, Farber allegedly stole a Taser stun gun from the town of Oconomowoc’s police chief and used it on another officer. Farber escaped around 2am this morning and reportedly stole a car in Juneau. The sheriff says his office will be conducting a thorough investigation into what occurred to ensure this type of incident does not happen again in the future. Meanwhile, the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office has filed formal Escape charges against Farber.
