(Beaver Dam) Construction will resume this spring on improvements to the shoreline along the Beaver Dam River where a lot people like to fish. The city of Beaver Dam is in the process of enhancing the river’s western shoreline from the Beaver Dam Lake Dam to the Madison Street bridge. Improvements to the corridor include the addition of fishing steps, sidewalk, fencing, lighting, landscaping, and a kayak launch. Construction was partially completed over the winter. In the interest of public safety, the entire project area is being fenced off and closed to all public access until construction is complete. Director of Engineering Todd Janssen says the city sincerely thanks the public in advance for their understanding and compliance with the temporary closure of this popular area along the shoreline.
