(Wisconsin) Governor Evers has signed a $21,800,000 contract to rehabilitate a 22-mile section of Highway I41 stretching from the I-41/US 45 split to the Dodge County Line. Contractor Payne and Dolan Inc is expected to begin the first stages of the project this week and finish a preliminary roadway rehabilitation by mid-November of this year. Crews will then return next spring to continue the project with an expected completion date of Fall 2020 weather dependent.
Improvements will include resurfacing the 22-mile section of interstate, installing a median cable barrier, and the replacement of two smaller bridge structures along I-41 just north of Wis 33. Motorists can expect single lane closures and future short-term ramp closures throughout the duration of the project.
