Hustisford Man Makes Initial Appearance On Child Porn Charges

(Hustisford) A Hustisford man has made his initial appearance in court for possessing illicit content of children. Travis Lund is facing two felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

A Cyber Tipline report was filed by the social media and messaging app Kik in January. A user had uploaded a video that was believed to be child porn. The user’s screen name, email, and IP address was reportedly tied back to Lund.

When questioned, Lund allegedly admitted that people would send him inappropriate images and other offensive content through Kik. According to the complaint, Lund said he would often share these images and videos with other users on the app. He reportedly noted that he did not save these files.

If convicted, the 49-year-old faces up to 50 years in prison. A signature bond was set at $1,000 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 14th.
