Huge Rally Not Enough For Waupun Legion At State

The Waupun Post 210 American Legion Baseball Team wouldn’t go down without a fight on the final day of the American Legion Single-A State Baseball Tournament.  After falling behind Viroqua 10-1 after 4 ½ innings, Post 210 scored nine runs in the bottom of the 5th to tie the game at 10.  Viroqua answered with a pair of runs in the top of the 6th to earn a 12-10 win.

Austin Wiese went 2×4 with a triple, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored.  Noah Gerritson and Tyler Fromolz both drove in a pair for Post 210.

The two-time defending state champions record drops to 20-2.

Post 210’s season isn’t over yet as they will host the Central Plains National Tournament this weekend in Waupun.
