(Horicon) Horicon police arrested a Milwaukee man following a pursuit over the weekend. Authorities observed a car with heavily tinted windows and appeared to be speeding on Washington Street just before 3am Sunday.
A records check of the vehicle showed that its registration was suspended. A traffic stop was attempted but the suspect vehicle ignored the emergency lights and siren which were activated. Law enforcement officials say the car increased its speed as it entered River Bend Park traveling in excess of 40-miles-per-hour.
They add that the vehicle eventually lost control in a gravel parking lot due to wet and slushy conditions. The chase lasted just under one mile.
The 32-year-old driver was arrested and was taken to the Dodge County Jail. He is facing felony charges of Fleeing and Possession of THC as well as misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
