Horicon Marsh to Host Candlelight event

(Horicon) The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources invites the public to Horicon to celebrate the winter by participating in a candlelight event at the Horicon Marsh on January 21st.
Activities include hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. Those that participate in snowshoeing or hiking do not need any experience and offers no-commitment opportunities for first timers. Hot chocolate, cider and other refreshments will also be available for purchase.
The amount of gear needed varies but it is recommended that attendees wear warm clothing with layers and bring a headlamp or flashlight.
Officials say it is one of the most popular activities at state parks, forests, and trails. The event is free to attend and begins around sunset.
