Horicon Man Charged With Threatening Police Arraigned

(Beaver Dam) A Horicon man charged with making threats towards police was arraigned this week. Nathaniel Hoffman entered a not guilty plea to a felony count of Threat to a Law Enforcement Officer and a misdemeanor charge of Resisting.

Beaver Dam police were called to investigate a suspicious person complaint near Madison Street on March 11th. The employee of a business reported that a male subject was making her feel uncomfortable. The complainant pointed out the individual as they walked by and police made contact.

According to the complaint, Hoffman provided a false name and was arrested. While being transported to the jail, he allegedly made multiple verbal threats towards authorities including a K-9. Hoffman reportedly threatened to have someone come and kill an officer.

If convicted, the 36-year-old faces over six years behind bars.
