Horicon Man Charged With Reckless Endangerment For Hitting Another Car

(Burnett) A Horicon man accused of endangering the safety of another person has made his initial court appearance. Kody Hoeft is facing three felony counts of Second-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to an active domestic incident on Sunday, March 12th. According to the complaint, the complainant reported that Hoeft was chasing her on Highway 26 near the town of Burnett and intentionally crashed into her vehicle causing damage. An 8-year-old and a 1-year-old were passengers in the vehicle.

The woman allegedly said that Hoeft tried to run her off the roadway. There were no injuries as a result of the collision. Hoeft was later located by Waupun police and was taken into custody.

If convicted, the 27-year-old faces up to 30 years in prison. Cash bond was set at $4,000 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 23rd.
