Horicon City Council to Consider Wastewater

(Horicon) The city of Horicon will have several major projects facing them long-term. One of those is updating the wastewater treatment plant. Mayor Josh Maas explains.
“We definitely need to update our wastewater treatment plant,” says Maas. “It’s 40 years old. These things are designed for 20 to 25 years. It was designed for a smaller population, and a smaller industrial base than the city has.”
Maas says that a study will be conducted to evaluate their options.
“We are gonna use some of our 2023 dollars to do a plan and a study to see what we need, how we can do it in the most economical way possible to upgrade our treatment facility,” Maas says.
The mayor says that this is number one on the priority list for the city.
