This week’s Horicon Bank High School Team Of The Week is the Waterloo High School girls basketball team. Gabe Haberkorn’s squad opened up the 2021-22 regular season with a pair of road wins that included a 55-37 victory at Parkview and then a 34-33 squeaker at Markesan. Through the first two games the Pirates had five different players averaging over eight points per contest. That included Tess Blundell (9.5), Alyssa Baumann (8.5), Brenna Huebner (8.5), Ava Jaehnke (8.0) and Julia Asik (8.0).
