Home Sales Continue Upward Trend

(Dodge County) For a third straight year, the sales of existing homes in Wisconsin have reached record levels. That’s according to the State Realtors Association whose members sold 83-thousand homes during 2017, a one-point-four percent increase over the year before. The state’s median sales price jumped five-and-a-half percent to $174-thousand dollars. In Dodge County, 17 more homes were sold last year than in 2016 with the median sales price jumping over two-percent to $138,500 dollars. Columbia County sales in 2017 dropped over three-percent to 849. The median sale price increased over ten-percent to $185-thousand dollars. Jefferson County’s 2017 sales declined over six-percent to 1,170 with the median sales price increasing by nearly three-percent to $175-thousand dollars. Fond du Lac dropped nearly nine-percent with 1,312 homes sold in 2017. The median price saw a jump of over nine-percent over the same time period.
