7/1/17 – With the roads filling up with holiday travelers, the Dodge County Traffic Safety Commission is warning residents of potential dangers. In a press release from the group, they say Independence Day is one of the deadliest holidays of the year due to drunk-driving crashes. In 2015 over 10,000 people lost their lives to drunk drivers. They also cite distracted driving as another rapidly growing safety hazard. Anything that takes your eyes off the road, hands off the wheel, or mind off the task of driving is considered a hazard.
