Holiday Train Returns to Area After Hiatus

(Columbus) The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be bringing Wisconsinites joy and awareness to local food banks once again after a two-year hiatus. The storied train is pulling into the Amtrak Depot in Columbus at 9:15pm. Ludington Street is partially closed now with “no parking” signs on both sides extending from Church Street all the way to Middleton Street. However, Ludington will be closed to all traffic from 7pm until 11pm tonight. The Columbus-Fall River Food Pantry is accepting donations for this event. Items needed include toilet paper and canned items including soup, meat, and vegetables. Other stops for the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train include the Silver Lake Street railway crossing in Oconomowoc at 6:40pm, the Brandt Quirk Park parking lot in Watertown at 7:50pm and then again Saturday at the Canadian Pacific railyard in Portage at 1:15pm.
