Holiday Events Planned Throughout Beaver Dam

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Holiday Parade is the signature event that has traditionally ushered in the season on the first Saturday of December but in spite of the parade’s cancellation this year there will still be plenty going on in the city.

Festivities on Saturday kick-off with Grinch Toast Sticks at Bayside Supper Club delivered to your car between 9am and 11am. Santa Claus will still be making his annual visit to Beaver Dam Saturday with precautions in place to protect Ole Saint Nick and the public.

Santa will be visiting two area banks safely seeing children from inside as kids give their wish list in the drive-through. Kriss Kringle will be at Summit Credit Union from noon-to-3pm and BMO Harris Bank from 5:30pm-to-7pm Saturday.

There will also be holiday giveaways for kids at several locations in Beaver Dam, sponsored by Beaver Dam police and firefighter charities, the Heffron Family Fund and the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce. The holiday giveaways will be available between noon and 3pm at locations including: Grace Presbyterian Church, Holiday Inn Express, Slumberland Furniture, Elite Dance Center, Beaver Dam Cinema, the Family Center, Martial Arts America and Tower Lanes.

Windows at businesses in the downtown are decorated as part of Downtown Beaver Dam Inc.’s annual Window Decorating Contest; the theme this year is “holiday sparkle.” The deadline for the coloring contest for youths and adults has been extended until December 14.

The Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre will be releasing new holiday-themed videos on their website each week starting next Friday through the end of the year. The Dodge County Center for the Arts has their annual holiday gift gallery open at their new location on North Center Street.

The 2020 Red Kettle Concert has gone virtual this year, streaming on Facebook starting at noon on Sunday, hoping to raise money with online donations as there are no bell ringers this year.

And of course, there is the Christmas Lights Display at Swan City Park sponsored by the Rotary beginning each night at dusk.
