A brief standoff at 240 North High Street in Randolph ended peacefully Saturday evening. According to authorities, the incident began after a man threatened a woman with a shotgun. She was able to get out of the home and get to the police department. The Randolph Police Department, the Fox Lake Police Department, the Columbia County and Dodge County Sheriff’s Departments responded. About ten minutes after they arrived, the man was told to come out with his hands up, which he did. Police later found 21 firearms and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition in the home. The man is facing a number of charges, including the intoxicated use of a firearm and reckless endangerment. He also faces possible domestic abuse charges.
