Hartford Woman Accused Of Biting A Dodge County Sheriff’s Deputy

(Rubicon) A Hartford woman accused of biting a sheriff’s deputy has made her initial appearance in a Dodge County courtroom. Jennifer Schieble is facing a felony count of Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer as well as a misdemeanor charge of Resisting.

A Dodge County sheriff’s deputy responded to a vehicle runoff near the town of Rubicon just after midnight Saturday, December 17th. Schieble was reportedly identified as the driver. According to the criminal complaint, the deputy noticed signs of impairment and following field sobriety testing took Schieble into custody.

While in the back of the squad, Schieble reportedly yelled and shouted obscenities at deputies. The 50-year-old allegedly bit a deputy in their upper arm following a blood draw.

If convicted, Schieble faces six years in prison. A signature bond was set at $1,000 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 26th.
